The Lake Martin Renew our Rivers annual cleanup is scheduled for Friday October 7. This year we will focus on the lake shoreline east of the Highway 63 Bridge that was affected by the recent tornado as well as designated state and county roadways.
Volunteers are needed and will be able to participate in any of the following ways:
LMRA and Alabama Power Company boats will be available for ferrying volunteers and hauling the bagged trash and storm debris.

Volunteers are needed and will be able to participate in any of the following ways:
- Scout lake shoreline to spot storm debris or trashy areas and report. This needs to be accomplished prior to October 1
- Meet at the Russell Lands office at 8:00 on the 7th to assist with roadside clean up in designated areas
- Meet at the Ridge Marina or the Kowaliga Bridge public launch at 8:00 on the 7th for shoreline assignment
