Wind Creek State Park Fall Festival

Campground Decoration Contest - please sign up at the marina store before 6:00 pm on October 20.

October 19- 5:30 PM-Pumpkin Carving Contest- A Penny for Your Pumpkin - Pumpkins must already be carved. Judging will begin promptly at 6:15- The public can bring change or bills to select their favorite pumpkin. All donations will be used to fund activities for Wind Creek State Park.

October 20 - 8:30 AM 5K Halloween Run/Walk

October 20 - 12:30/3:00/ Carnival will be held in the Equine Camping Area located across from the camping exit gate. There will be lots of games and prizes.

Costume Parade - 5-30 - Parade will be held in the campground. Meet at the playground. Drivers please  be mindful of the children walking.

Trick-or-treating- 6:30 - KIDS trick-or-treat through the qcampground. Drivers, please be mindful of the children walking.

Campground decoration judging - 7:00 pm

Haunted Hayride and Kiddie Hayride - 7:00 pm- Directions will be given onsite at the Beach parking lot.

Entry fees will apply to non-campers. $5 adults and $2 seniors and children 6 and up.

Inflatables, face painting, and the famous pumpkin roll in the park.  Sidewalk sale begins at 8:00 a.m.  The kids station will be available in the park beginning at 9:00  Visit mainstreets restaurants and lounges where PATH Volunteers will offer A-Peeling Apple Tastings at $5.00 for 5 samples.

The Wind Creek State Park Halloween 5K Run will start at 8:30 a.m. in the marina parking lot.  Report to the park office at 7:30 a.m. for sign-in and T-shirt pick up, warmups and stretching.  This annual event at Lake Martin will wind among the trees and along the shoreline through the campground and picnic areas.  Register for 25.00 dollars at (

Fall Festival at Russell Crossroads will host a working blacksmith, grist mill, horseback rides, lawn games, face painting, pumpkin carving, baking, canning contests from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cost is 25.00 dollars.  Call (256) 397-1019 for more information.

 Come in costume to this 3rd annual FREE Benjamin Russell Band Concert.  The band members will be dressed in costume.  The music plays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Come join in the fun!

Boats decorated with flags with an Independence Day theme parade from Kowaliga Marina to Childrens Harbor. Judging takes place and awards are given for the most decorated boats in different categories.

Fireworks at dark in the Kowaliga Bay area of Lake Martin. This annual event is one of the best fireworks shows in the southeast.
