One Titus house on 695 Cartwright Road is for sale for $350,000 and provides three bedrooms and two bathrooms within 2,121 square feet of living space.

About a dozen houses are for sale in the Titus community near Lake Jordan. More than 25 homes were sold in the area during the past year.

The community is about 40 minutes from Montgomery via Highway 231, said veteran Realtor Belyn Richardson.

She said that Lake Jordan offers a different atmosphere than Lake Martin and has some advantages over Martin.

“Lake Jordan is a smaller lake than Lake Martin and housing is a better value,” Richardson said. “If you like less boat traffic and the ability to be laid back, Jordan is the place for you. Lake Jordan stays up all year round, unlike Lake Martin.”

She said some residents live at Lake Jordan full-time, enjoying the lifestyle and a short commute to Wetumpka or the Capital City.

“Many individuals dream of lake living either full-time or part-time. Titus is popular as it is probably the quieter side of the lake with houses with larger lots,” Richardson said. “It is also home to the marina where on many weekends food trucks come and offer a fun selection of food.”

The lake life that is so attractive features tranquility, wildlife, friendly neighbors, and a rural atmosphere.

“The benefits of living on Lake Jordan are peace, quiet, and relaxing if that is what you are looking for. Or fishing, tubing, and skiing for the sports-minded individual,” Richardson said. “Even during the winter months, you get to experience wildlife such as ducks flocking to the lake, making their nests and hatching their babies, which is a sweet sight. Neighbors are caring and look after each other.”

One Titus house on 695 Cartwright Road is for sale for $350,000 and provides three bedrooms and two bathrooms within 2,121 square feet of living space.

“It is hard to believe a lake place at this price,” Richardson said. “The house is meticulously maintained and kept up to date. You will be amazed at what all it has to offer.”

The home’s kitchen has been recently updated as have the bathrooms, flooring and paint.

“You won't have a thing to worry about doing except moving in. The outside offers beautiful decking, entertainment space both covered and uncovered, and at the water you have a double boat lift, jet ski lifts and swimming dock,” Richardson said.

The waterfront lot has about 265 feet of shoreline and the property is located in a small slough just off the main lake.

“Residents have no worries about privacy, speeding boats and damage to the shoreline. There is lots of land to build a golf cart path to the pier,” Richardson said. “This house has a mother-in-law plan with the master, en-suite bath and study on one side and two bedrooms, laundry room and bath on the other.”

The kitchen is in the hub of the house and opens to the main living area. An extra heater in the den area is ideal for cold nights, should extra heat be needed, but there is central heat and air.

Views from the home’s decks include both the lake and the woods. The home was built in 1995.

“The house is located on an acre. Residents have all the space and privacy needed,” she said, adding that the yard is also partially fenced. The home has a full basement, which is accessible from the outside.

“The owners took care of this home and wouldn't put it on the market until it was remodeled and up to standard,” Richardson said. “The home has a private boathouse on the lake and pier that makes it extremely easy to get to the main part of the lake.”

The home at 695 Cartwright Road is located in one of the parts of the lake that is closest to Wetumpka and its conveniences. In addition, there is a Dollar General, Subway, barber shop and gas stations within minutes, she said.

“The home is absolutely a paradise for privacy.” Richardson said. “Living on the lake is a lifestyle that is easy to get used to. Whether you just want to sit on your porch and stare at the lake or get on your boat to watch the sunset from the middle of the lake, you can do that because it is just the right size lake to have everything but the crowds.”
