Dadeville-based band Blackberry Breeze is once again bringing some top-notch musical entertainment to Lake Martin May 24 – 26 with their second edition of “Shake The Lake” – a three-day Memorial Day Weekend Music Festival to officially kick off the summer and honor our military heroes.

The three-day festival, which will be held at Copper’s Grill at StillWaters, is set to feature several musical acts over the holiday weekend. On Friday, May 24, Auburn, AL native Blane Rudd will be in concert, along with opening act Kaleb Scott King. On Saturday, May 25, Montgomery, AL-based band Charlie C & The Cuzamatics will play a three-hour concert in celebration of the Lake Martin Dadeville Area Chamber’s 9th Annual Cornhole Tournament that will be held that morning also at Copper’s. The weekend will cap off Sunday, May 26 with a two-hour concert from Blackberry Breeze, featuring opening act and 2014 American Idol Finalist Jess Meuse. Weekend Festival Pass and VIP Experience ticket holders will enjoy early admission, a private performance by Kristen Kelly, dinner catered by NolaBama Snack Shack, a dedicated VIP concert viewing area, a commemorative event t-shirt, swag bags, and more. General Admission tickets are also available for all three nights. Additionally, the event will feature a multitude of food & beverage choices. Copper’s will offer hot dogs, burgers and more from their Grill, as well as specialty event signature drinks. Burritos Mexican Food Truck will be on-site Saturday, and NolaBama Snack Shack will be on location Sunday.

A portion of all proceeds raised through ticket sales will go towards a college scholarship for a deserving Dadeville High School senior student who is the son or daughter of a military veteran. Hosting the Memorial Day Weekend Music Festival is the band’s way of not only paying tribute to military heroes, but also providing an opportunity for the Lake Martin community to kick off the summer on a high note.

“We’re excited to take Shake The Lake from a one-night event to three nights of nonstop entertainment,” said Trey Foshee, Dadeville native and founding member of Blackberry Breeze. “The artist lineup this year is amazing. Party-goers will enjoy everything from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s to rock, reggae and country. It’s a great way for the Lake Martin community to come together to start the summer, and salute those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.”

The Shake The Lake 2024 Memorial Day Weekend Music Festival is presented by Thompson CAT, with additional sponsorship provided by R&R Landscaping, Eagle Ridge at StillWaters by Southern Coastal Homes, The TALONS Group Real Estate, Lake Martin Events LLC, Lake Area Realty LLC, and Jim Beam.
