Another round of great FREE music is coming to Russell Crossroads for Memorial Day Weekend!
We will kick off RXR Fest Friday night with music from Lake Martin’s favorite cover band, The Bank Walkers! These guys have added a number of new songs to their playlist, but have kept a lot of the crowd favorites too!! Join The Bank Walkers as they kick off this year’s RXR fest Friday, at 6:30.
Taking the stage at at 8, is Mississippi Hall of Famer, Webb Wilder! Webb Wilder was ‘Americana’ before it had a name, and is bonafide Roots Rock Royalty. He’s made albums ranging from the very roots of Rock and Roll to some of its “crunchier” Classic Rock cousins – Outlaw Country, straight-up Blues, bits of Brit Rock, Rockabilly, Southern Rock and all points in between. Hillbilly Speedball is the 13th album in his long and storied career.
Webb Wilder brings us Americana Rock and Roll in the purest sense, and his live shows and albums are a joyride worth taking again and again.
Not to be outdone by Friday, Saturday will bring us more great music and kicking it off is none other than Friday On The Green favorite Russell Craig. For RXR Fest, Russell has pulled in his band and will start making his own kind of music on Saturday, at 6:30.
And winding out RXR Fest this year is Connor Kelly and The Time Warp! Connor is dedicated to pushing sonic boundaries while preserving elements of Rock & Roll. Drawing inspiration from icons like Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the group cultivates a sound that pays tasteful homage to legends of the genre but not without their own unusual twist. Since their latest album release “Distant Forest” the band has accumulated over 5 million streams and joined among others, Moon Taxi on the road. Connor Kelly, Ben Kelly, Aiden Lamb, and Daniel Ryan are liable to, in a good way, disrupt the space-time continuum.
Great music and lots of fun!
Bring the fam and your comfy stuff and join us for a couple of nights of great FREE music.
