Martin dam has 20 spillway gates that are 30 feet by 16 feet in dimension.
The gates are opened as needed in the following sequence:
5-11-3-9-7-1-10-6-12-8-4-2-20-19-18-17-16-15-13-14 (left to right in the picture).
The first 12 gates opened are above the basin.
The capacity of each gate is 3,016,000 gallons per minute (6,700 cfs).
